The TIP Process

Integration may benefit from economies of scale, that a collaborative approach makes possible. Steps taken in running the program in Telecom Infra Project are as follows:

  • IDEATE: formulate ideas by collecting signal needs from the telecom industry obtained from the stakeholders involved, and this includes operators in it.

  • DEFINE: Signal needs will be formulated in the form of common requirements that can be used as a reference in producing solutions that suit with needs of the industry.

  • BUILD: build a solution from requirements that have been formulated, in this case TIP will cooperate with technology partners, vendors and SI to produce solutions that are open and not tied to a particular vendor.

  • TEST: This technology will have features that can choose and are not bound by exclusive solutions. From the commercial side is expected to reduce the operator’s PCO.

  • RELEASE: conducting trial activities that can be run in the lab or in the field later. In Indonesia TIP has provided a community lab located in Telkom University and has been officially inaugurated by Mr. Johnny G. Plate as Minister of Communication and Information Technology on December 17, 2020. The lab is the first in Southeast Asia and will be the place to test the open technology being developed. This lab will also be a forum for other activities such as the construction of SCM through training programs, R&D and so on.
