Komitmen Kolaborasi Telkom Grup
The research collaboration between the Telkom Group and the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) of Telkom University officially took place on Monday (11/7) at Gd. Damar Telkom University, titled Inauguration of Telkom Group Membership in Telecom Infra Project. The inauguration ceremony was conducted by signing a joint commitment of research collaboration that will take place at the TIP Community Lab at Telkom University.
Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, hopes that the joining of Tel-U as part of the TIP is expected to bring broad benefits as an efforts to solve infrastructure problems in Indonesia.
“We are looking to this collaboration because the benefits for the nation will be enormous. This is also our effort to create digital talent as much as possible and boost technology independence at the remote area of the archipelago,” said Adiwijaya.
On this occasion, the event was also attended by representatives from TIP Asia Pacific, Bryan Tan, who explained why Indonesia has the potential to develop the TIP network. At least it has five pillars as a roadmap to be implemented immediately.
“Our roadmap is to build awareness of the benefits of TIP, conduct trials, and evaluations, field trials, increase the competence of local human resources, and do a local manufacturing to meet TKDN targets.”
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Telkom Indonesia, Herlan Wijanarko, emphasized that this research immediately spawned innovations and research that apply to its execution.
“This is an excellent initiative, helping to more broadly build an ecosystem in the Telkom Group. Telkom’s vision and mission are to expand cooperation and build international cooperation. I want to make sure it’s not just a ceremony. The execution must be sharp and make a big contribution to the company and society.” said Herlan.
Director-General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology (SDPPI), Dr. Ir. Ismail, as a government representative, hopes that all forms of digital transformation can take place well. According to him, three criteria need to be met by Tel-U and TIP in developing network infrastructure.
“I think three criteria must be met in infrastructure development related to networks:
- It can be accessed anywhere.
- Have good quality.
- It has an affordable price for the community.
We as the government are always ready to support all collaborations in building the nation.” Ismail said.
In addition, there are exhibitions from 30 tenants that display technological innovation tools and start-ups related to telecommunications. This exhibition is open to the public and can be visited from Monday 11 July to Tuesday 12 July 2022 at the Telkom University Multipurpose Building (GSG).
