TIP Community Lab Proudly Presents 8th Webinar : "UI/UX Design Challenges In 5G Era"

The Eighth Webinar Series organized by the Telecom Infra Project Community Lab of Telkom University was held on Friday, August 6^th, 2021 at 3 pm–6 pm (GMT+7) attended by 111 participants. This webinar brings “Digital Product (UI/UX) Design Challenges in 5G Era” as the theme. It is packed with a session of presentation from the speakers and followed by a Q&A session between participants and speakers. The speakers presented in this webinar are Dr. Syaheerah Lebai Lutfi from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Dr. Neha Tuli from Chitkara University, and Ts. Dr. Nurulisma Bin Ismail, P. Tech, MIEEE from Universiti Malaysia Peris.

The UI/UX is the visual thing attracted from a product. The UI/UX design will give a meaning to a product in various ways. Providing a good UI/UX design is the key to product development. The value will be delivered and communicated through a good UI/UX design then will be visualizing and creating a certain brand image for customers. This is a field that will always grow up as we enjoy the easiness of the delivering communication to the users using good UI/UX.

UX design refers to “User Experience Design” while UI design stands for “User Interface Design”. UI is about the point of interaction between the user and the device or digital product. UX or UE is about how users interact with products, systems, or services. User Experience is determined by how easy or difficult it is to interact with the user interface elements that the UI designer has created. A great product start with the UX followed by UI.

One of the speakers, namely Dr. Neha Tuli said that “the main difference is that UX includes interaction design, wireframes and prototypes, information architecture, user research, and scenarios while UI design includes visual designing, colours, graphic designing, layouts, and typography. So, the main difference between them is that UX design is about the overall user experience, then UI design is about how the product interfaces, look, and functionality of the product”

The Telecom Infra Project Community Lab or TIP is a global community supported by MNOs and organizations working together to accelerate the development and deployment of technology solutions that provide the high-quality connectivity the world needs today and in the decades later on. Not only that, but TIP also has several programs such as the Webinar Series which have been held 8 times and there will be 9^th Webinar held on August 20^th, 2021. In near future, there will be a free training held by TIP as well.
